Over the last few weeks, the Who Would Jesus Date? team has been focusing our efforts in order to organize our update schedule and get you, the audience, more content to tide you over until the first public screening. As this very post is being written, the FINAL EDIT of the film is being completed by Neeti!!! This will be sent to other members of the team for music scoring, foley sounds, other sound engineering, color correction, and so on. It’s really happening guys, the film is steadily approaching completion!
In other news, this past Thursday, Neeti gave a presentation at the Rochester Movie Makers meeting. She provided insight into what she has learned throughout the production of this film in a talk entitled How NOT to Make an Indie Film. As part of her presentation, she included a few EXCLUSIVE clips and stills from the film, in what was the very first limited public reveal of Who Would Jesus Date? The presentation and film content both received an extremely warm reception from the members of RMM, and is making us even more excited to share the final product with all of you!
In the coming weeks, we will continue to update you with production stills, audience Q+A, behind the scenes information on the production process, video teasers, and more. Stay tuned here for further updates. Until then, enjoy this new production photo by Lisa Cook, and peace be with you!
Neeti, Reilly, John, and the rest of the WWJDate team
It’s hard to believe that the film has been in post production for almost a whole month! Who Would Jesus Date? has been through several revisions and is almost ready for a private pre-screening for the cast and crew. We still have a lot left to do: original soundtrack composition & recording, foley sound recording, sound engineering, title sequence design, color grading, special effects, and more.
Another thing we have been hard at work at is a large PR campaign in order to spread the Good Word of this film! Stay tuned for a fun competition with the chance to win lots of unique prizes coming soon, including word of public events and screenings. We are hoping to premiere the film this winter. Getting that bit of news in the Rochester CITY Paper was wonderful, but we won’t stop there!
As part of our dedication to updating you, our readers, fans, friends, family, and supporters, on our progress, we are going to implement a weekly Audience Q&A where you get to ask us questions — any question at all! — about the film. Each Tuesday, we will pick the most interesting question(s) and answer them. Your questions can be as normal or insane as you’d like! Ever wanted to know what the cast had for breakfast on the second day of shooting? Wonder what Jesus’ extracurricular activities are? What specific visual or audio equipment we used for production? What software we’re using for post? etc. Then ask away!
Please feel free to ask us questions starting now! You may email us, ask us on Facebook, or on Twitter. Can’t wait to hear from you!
